Oven Air Vents

Never block the vents (air openings) of the range. They provide the air inlet and outlet that are necessary for the range to operate properly with correct combustion. Air openings are located at the rear of the cooktop, at the top and bottom of the oven door, and at the bottom of the range, under the kick panel, storage drawer or broiler drawer (depending on the model).

Lift-up Cooktop

(on models with dual burners)

Surface Light and Starter (on some models)

Clean the area under the cooktop often. Built-up soil, especially grease, may catch on fire.

To make cleaning easier, the cookt~p may be lifted up.

CAUTION: Do not touch the bulb with wet hands or when bulb is hot. Never wipe the light area with a wet cloth. Electrical power must be shut off

To raise the cooktop:

1. Be sure burners are turned off.

2. Remove the grates.

if you have to replace a bulb.

To replace bulb:

3. Grasp the two front burner wells and lift up.

Some models have dual support rods that will hold the cooktop up while you clean underneath it.

After cleaning under the cooktop with hot, soapy water and a clean cloth, lower the cooktop. Be careful not to pinch your fingers.

1.With one hand at each end of the hinged canopy, grasp it by the front edge and flip it up.

2.Remove fluorescent light bulb. Replace the bulb with one of the same length and wattage.

3.Lower the canopy.

To replace starter:

1.Open canopy and remove bulb as explained above.

2.Grasp starter, turn it counterclockwise about one-quarter turn and lift out. Replace with one of the same wattage.

3.Replace bulb and lower the canopy.

Metal Parts

Do not use steel wool. abrasives. ammonia or commercial oven cleaners. To safely clean surfaces;

wash, rinse and then dry with a ‘% soft cloth.

Glass Surfaces

To clean the outside glass finish, use a glass cleaner. Rinse and polish with a dry cloth. Do not allow the water or cleaner to run down inside openings in the glass while cleaning.
