CHOPPING and PURÉEING:
1.Assemble the food processor by following steps 1 and 2 on page 5.
2.Place the chopping blade over the disc/blade support. The chopping blade should slide easily over the disc/blade support. The lower blade will almost touch the bottom of the processing bowl. CAUTION: Be extremely careful when handling the chopping blade, it is very sharp.
3.Cut the food to be chopped into pieces that fit loosely in the processing bowl. Note: You will get a more even chop if you start with pieces that are all the same size.
4.Place the cut food into the processing bowl. You can process up to 7 cups of solid food or 5½ cups of liquid in the processing bowl at one time. Chop food in batches if you want to process more than 7 cups of solid food at a time.
5.Place the processor lid on top of the processing bowl and lock in place. Place the food pusher into the feed tube. It is recommended that one hand be placed on the processor lid while in use to provide additional stability.

9.Remove the processor lid and chopping blade.
10.Remove the processing bowl from the motor base. Use a plastic spatula to scrape out any food pieces that stick to the inside of the processing bowl.

•For a coarse chop, pulse only a few times.
•For a finer chop or purée, turn the control dial to the “MAX” position and let the appliance run continuously until the desired consistency has been reached.
•You may add liquid or small pieces of food to the processing bowl while the appliance is running by dropping the food through the feed tube on the processor lid.
