4 Permanent settings in programming mode

Maintenance settings	In the program item ‘Machine settings (3/5)’ / ‘Maintenance settings’
	you can make the following settings:
	U	‘Filter’
		U Activate the CLEARYL Blue filter cartridge (see Chapter 5
	U	‘Maintenance – Inserting and activating the filter’).
	U	‘Water hardness’
		U If you do not have a filter cartridge, you will need to set the
		water hardness (see Chapter 4 ‘Permanent settings in pro-
	U	gramming mode – Setting the water hardness’).
	U	‘Switch-on rinse’ / ‘Manual’
	U	U The switch-on rinse must be started manually.
	U	‘Switch-on rinse’ / ‘Automatic’
	U	U The switch-on rinse is started automatically.
	U	‘Rinse the milk system’ / ‘Manual after 10 min.’
		U You are prompted to rinse the milk system 10 minutes after
	U	preparation of a specialty coffee with milk.
	U	‘Rinse the milk system’ / ‘Manual immediate’
		U You are prompted to rinse the milk system immediately
	U	after preparation of a specialty coffee with milk.
	U	‘Rinse the milk system’ / ‘Automatic after 10 min.’
		U Milk system rinsing is automatically initiated 10 minutes
	U	after preparation of a specialty coffee with milk.
	U	‘Rinse the milk system’ / ‘Automatic immediate’
		U Milk system rinsing is automatically initiated approx. 30 sec-

onds after preparation of a specialty coffee with milk.

Example: Proceed as follows to make the machine prompt you to rinse the milk system immediately after preparing a specialty coffee with milk.

Precondition: ‘Please select product:’ is displayed.

OT Press the P button.

‘Maintenance status (1/5)’

gT Turn the Rotary Switch until the program item ‘Machine set- tings (3/5)’ is displayed.

TPress the ‘Maintenance settings’ button. ‘Maintenance settings’

TPress the ‘Rinse the milk system’ button. ‘Rinse the milk system’

TPress the ‘Manual immediate’ button.
