5 Maintenance

Rinsing the coffee system You can perform coffee system rinsing at any time.

Precondition: ‘Please select product:’ is displayed. T Place a receptacle under the dual spout.

O T Press the P button. ‘Maintenance status (1/5)’

T Press the ‘Rinse the coffee system’ button.

‘Machine is rinsing.’, water flows out of the dual spout.

The rinse stops automatically. ‘Please select product:’ appears on the display.

Depending on the setting in programming mode, the GIGA prompts you to rinse the milk system or automatically performs rinsing fol- lowing milk preparation.

Example: Proceed as follows to rinse the milk system when prompted to do so.

Precondition: ‘Rinse the milk system.’ and the c symbol are dis- played.

TPlace a receptacle under the dual spout.

O T Press the P button. ‘Maintenance status (1/5)’

TPress the ‘Rinse the milk system’ button.

‘Milk system is being rinsed.’, water flows out of the dual spout.

The rinse stops automatically. ‘Please select product:’ appears on the display.

To ensure that the milk system in the dual spout always works prop- erly, you must clean it daily when you have been preparing milk. The GIGA will not prompt you to clean the milk system.

Non-recommended cleaning agents will not optimally remove milk residues. This may cause the cappuccino frother to become blocked and fly off the machine. Discharge of hot steam.
