ASSEMBLY

HOW TO INSTALL THE SEAT

Use the fasteners shown below to install the seat. The fasteners are shown at full size.

1.

Carefully

remove

the

 

 

plastic bag from the seat.

 

2.

Align the holes in the seat

 

 

hinge to the holes in the

shown.

 

 

 

3.Check the operating posi- tion of the seat. If the seat needs to be adjusted, loosen the two wing bolts. Slide the seat for-

ward or backward along

HOW TO ASSEMBLE THE STEERING WHEEL

Use the fasteners shown below to install the steering wheel. The fasteners are shown at full size.

1.Make sure the front wheels point forward.

2.Slide the cover, if equipped, over the steering post (Figure 2).

NOTE: The cover is an optional accessory and is not re- quired on all models.

3.Slide the steering wheel onto the steering post.

4.Apply firm pressure to center of the steering wheel with the palm of your hand until you hear a clicking noise. To check for proper locking of the steering wheel to the steering post, pull upward on steering wheel.

5.Use the fasteners shown above to secure the steering wheel. The fasteners are shown at full size. Tighten the screw. DO NOT over tighten.

6.Remove adhesive backing from hub cover (found in parts bag) and place hub cover over hub.

Use the fasteners shown below to install the gauge wheels.

1.Attach the gauge wheels to the axle bolts with the fasteners.

NOTE: The axle bolt is mounted in the LOW position. To change the position to a higher cutting position, see “How To Adjust The Gauge Wheels” in the Maintenance section.
