NOTE: If you don’t get water in 30 seconds or less, add more oil and repeat the process.

See Step 1.

KEEP THE HOSES AS STRAIGHT AS POSSIBLE

To reduce friction, do not coil or kink the hoses. When pumping from a well or stream, raise the inlet hose a few inches off the bottom to avoid sucking in sand, silt or pebbles (which can disable the impeller). Install a strainer or the Pud-L-ScoopTM(included only with Model M40P-04) to protect the pump from large solids.

NOTICE: Attach the Pud-L-ScoopTMto the end of the inlet line and place it in at least 1/2" of water at the lowest point to be pumped. Be sure all connections are air tight.

INLET HOSE GOES IN THE WATER; OUTLET HOSE STAYS OUT OF THE WATER. MOTOR MUST STAY DRY

Make sure all inlet connections are tight (no air leaks) and the inlet hose is in the water. Make sure the end of the outlet hose is not under water. If the outlet is under water, the pump may not work.

Plug the cord into a 3-wire, 115 volt, 60 Hz, grounded A.C. outlet.

You should get water in 30 seconds or less. If not, add more oil and repeat the process. If your pump does not prime on the sec- ond try, check the impeller and the inside of the pump head for wear. Replace as needed.

In rare cases you may need to prime the pump. To prime it, fill the suction hose with water, put it back in the water source, and start the pump.

The motor must have air circulation around it for proper cooling. This pump will lift water 12’; trying to lift water more than 12’ can cause the motor to run hot. The motor has a thermal overload which will stop it if it gets too hot. If the motor stops, allow it to cool for 30 minutes before trying to start it again.

M40-04, M40P-04 specifications

Simer Pumps has made a significant mark in the industry with the introduction of its M40P-04 and M40-04 models. These pumps are engineered to meet a wide variety of demanding applications, delivering reliability and performance that users can trust.

The Simer M40P-04 is designed with versatility in mind. It features a strong and durable construction that allows it to perform efficiently under varying conditions. The pump is powered by a robust motor that ensures high flow rates, making it suitable for applications in agriculture, building services, and general water transfer. The M40P-04 includes an integrated thermal overload protection system, which prevents motor overheating and ensures a longer lifespan.

On the other hand, the M40-04 model shares many of the same reliable traits as the M40P-04 but is optimized for slightly different use cases. It boasts a compact design that allows for easy installation in tight spaces while maintaining exceptional performance levels. This model is particularly well-suited for residential applications such as lawn irrigation systems and water features.

Both pumps utilize advanced technologies that enhance their operational efficiency. For instance, Simer has incorporated a high-quality impeller design in both models, which minimizes energy consumption while maximizing water flow. This design not only reduces operating costs but also makes them environmentally friendly.

In terms of characteristics, the M40P-04 comes with a built-in pressure switch, which automatically turns the pump on and off based on water demand, ensuring optimal performance and energy savings. Similarly, the M40-04 features a self-priming mechanism, allowing it to draw water from underground sources without the need for manual priming.

Durability is a key aspect of both models. They are constructed with corrosion-resistant materials, making them suitable for various water types, including those containing debris or sediments. This durability is complemented by easy maintenance features, allowing users to keep the pumps in optimal condition with minimal effort.

Ultimately, the Simer M40P-04 and M40-04 pumps stand out in the market for their reliability, innovative technology, and practical design. They are ideal choices for those seeking efficient, robust, and user-friendly pumping solutions for various applications. With their combination of power and efficiency, both models promise to deliver outstanding performance over time.
