Controls and Features

Make certain that you are familiar with the Controls, Parts, and operation of your NEUTON CE 6.2 Mower before using it.

Analog Voltage Gauge

The Analog Voltage Gauge indicates the amount of Battery life remaining. The yellow area indicates acceptable voltage whereas the red area indicates low voltage. You should raise the cutting height or mow slower if the gauge momentarily drops into the red area. Recharge the Battery if the gauge stays in the red area.

Safety Key

After you insert the Safety Key into the Safety Key Slot on the Mower, the Motor is now allowed to start and run. You can insert the Safety Key either way – it has no front or back. You should remove the Safety Key when not in use.

The Safety Key has a Built-In Circuit Breaker to protect the Motor.

NOTE: If the Built-In Circuit Breaker trips, the white Button on top of the Safety Key will pop up. Before attempting to restart the Mower, push the white Button all the way down until it locks into place.

Start Knob

The orange Start Knob is a safety feature that you must push across to the left before the Control Bar can be depressed.

Control Bar

The orange Control Bar is a safety feature. You must squeeze the Bar into the Handlebar for the Motor to start and run, and the Cutting Blade to spin. When the Control Bar is released, the Motor shuts off and the Blade stops spinning within three (3) seconds.

Power/Mode Switch

The Power/Mode Switch controls the power to the Mower, the Mower Blade, and the Optional Trimmer attachment. This Switch has three (3) settings.

Mower (rear position), used for normal mowing; and

Power OFF (center position), used to conserve Battery power; and

Auxiliary (forward position), used when operating the Optional Trimmer attachment. For more information about options available for your NEUTON Mower, see “Chapter 6: Optional Attachments”.
