Adjusting the Cutting Height

Using the Cutting Height Lever located under the Access Cover (Figure 20), adjust the Cutting Height so that you cut off only one (1) to two (2) inches of grass at a time.

Open the Access Cover and remove the

Make sure all four (4) Wheels are level.

TIP

To easily move the Cutting Height

right hand to keep the Mower steady

Each position adjusts the Mower’s Blade level to a different Cutting Height. Pushing the Cutting Height Lever towards Position 1 cuts more grass (which leaves your grass shorter); pushing the Lever towards Position 4 cuts less grass (leaving your grass longer).

The following table lists the final cut grass heights.

Mowing on Slopes

Slopes are a major factor related to slip-and-fall accidents, which can result in severe injury. All slopes require caution. If you feel uneasy on a slope, do not mow it.

Never mow steep slopes or any other areas where stability or traction is in doubt.

Never mow on wet grass. Unsure footing could cause you to slip.
