SACD and CD Disc Program Playback Mode

This feature allows for the playback of Tracks of SACD and CD Discs in the desired order. Refer to figure 78.

2.When programming Hybrid SACD Discs, first choose the format (Multichannel, Stereo or CD) so the correct TOC can be read as some discs have different selec- tions.

1.Press the PGM (Program) Push-button to access the On- Screen Program Mode.

Note: It is possible to enter a Program using just the Front Panel Alphanumeric Display; however the On- Screen Icon Display allows viewing of the whole program at one time.

2.Using the Numeric Push-buttons enter the desired Track Selection for the first Program Step.

Note: The MVP871 automatically stores into memory each of the program steps as they are entered.

3.In a similar manner, enter the remaining desired Tracks.

Note: The CLEAR Push-button may be used to delete a selected Program Step.

4.To start playback of the just entered program press the PLAYPush-button.

Note: To momentarily stop playback press either the Pause Push-button or the STOPPush-but- ton once. To resume Program Playback press the PLAYPush-button.

5.To cancel the Program Playback Mode press the

STOPPush-button twice followed by pressing the PGM (Program) Push-button.

DVD-Audio Disc Program Playback Mode

This feature allows for the playback of pre-selected Groups and/or Tracks of a DVD-Audio Disc in the desired order. Refer to figure 79.

Notes: 1. The MVP871 must be in full STOP Mode (two presses of the STOP Push-button) with the Disc Table of

Contents (TOC) read before the Program Playback Mode Fea- ture can be activated.

2. If a DVD-

Audio disc has both formats

(DVD-Audio and DVD-Music Video), only the DVD- Audio Groups/Tracks are programmable.

1.Press the PGM (Program) Push-button to access the On-Screen Program Mode.

2.Use the the Upor Downdirectional Push-buttons to select the first desired Group followed by the SE- LECT Push-button. Use the the Upor Downdirec- tional Push-buttons to select the first desired Track of the previous selected Group.

Note: The MVP871 automatically stores into memory each of the program steps as they are entered.

3.In a similar manner, add any additional Groups/Tracks.

Note: To remove a given Group/Track Program Step use the RightPush-button followed by the Upor Downdirectional Push-buttons to select the Pro- gram Step to be removed. Then press the CLEAR Push-button to delete it.

4.To start playback of the just entered program press the PLAYPush-button.

Note: To momentarily stop playback press either the Pause Push-button or the STOPPush-but- ton once. To resume Program Playback press the PLAYPush-button.

5.To cancel the Program Playback Mode press the

STOPPush-button twice followed by pressing the PGM (Program) Push-button.

Reset of Microprocessors

In the unlikely event the controls of the MVP871 stop functioning, the microprocessors can be reset by perform- ing the following:

1.Press and hold in the STANDBY/ON Push-button until the STANDBY/ON LED is no longer illumi- nated. Then release the STANDBY/ON Push-but- ton.

Note: This can be performed with the MVP871 On or in the Standby Mode.

2.The MVP871 will automatically switch On and normal operation will resume.
