SUN OS 4.1x

Installation

The AccessBuilder Name Server is distributed on two ﬂoppy diskettes; one for SUN OS 4.1x tar ﬁle format, and the other in standard DOS ﬁle format. Refer to the following installation section for your environment.

1Install the ﬁles on the AccessBuilder Name Server distribution diskette (this diskette contains three ﬁles, aceclnt, dbutil, and dbcnvt):

a On your Sun workstation, call up the target directory:

cd (target directory)

bInsert the distribution diskette into the ﬂoppy drive and copy the ﬁles on the diskette to your target directory:

tar xvf /dev/rfd0

2Change the access right to the distribution ﬁles to 7555:
