Jumbo Frame Definition
In 1998, Alteon Networks, Inc. promoted an initiative to increase the maximum
size of the MAC Client Data field from 1500-bytes to 9000-bytes.
Larger frames would provide a more efficient use of the network bandwidth
while reducing the number of frames that have to be processed.
Software update
Right-click on a server and select
System Maintenance --> Software Update to
locate a software package that you can update. This option is only valid for
ASC embedded appliances.
Set hostname
Right-click on a server and select
System Maintenance --> Set Hostname to
change your hostname. You must restart the server if you change the
hostname.
Restart ASC
Right-click on a server and select
System Maintenance --> Restar ASC to restart
the Server processes.

Restart network
Right-click on a server and select
System Maintenance --> Restar Netwo k to
restart your local network configuration.
Reboot
Right-click on a server and select
System Maintenance --> Reboot to reboot
your server.
Halt
Right-click on a server and select
System Maintenance --> Halt to turn off the
server without restarting it.
