3.Locate the SCSI terminator switch at the rear of the scanner. If the scanner is the only SCSI device in the chain or if it’s the last device in the chain, leave the terminator turned on. Turn the terminator switch off if you’ve connected your scanner in the middle of a SCSI chain.

Do not use an external terminator.

4.Plug in the power cables for your computer, scanner, and other external SCSI devices.

Power On Your Scanner and System

Always turn your scanner and other SCSI devices on before you turn on the computer. Otherwise, the computer may not recognize your EPSON scanner when you install your software. The operate light on the top of the scanner blinks as the scanner initializes. Once the scanner is turned on, power on your computer system.

Whenever you turn off the scanner, wait at least 10 seconds before turning it back on. Rapidly turning the scanner on and off can damage the scanner.
