Installation Task List

To successfully install your Wireless USB Adapter, complete each of these tasks, in order:

❏If you are unfamiliar with wireless technology or LANs, read About Wireless Technology and LANs on page 42 for a basic overview.

❏Install the Wireless USB Adapter. See page 4.

❏Install the device driver for your computer’s operating system. See page 6.

❏Install the Adaptec Wireless Utility. See page 17.

❏Disable Zero Configuration (Windows XP users only). See page 21.

❏Install the network protocols. See page 23.

❏Connect to the WLAN. See page 27.

Basic installation takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.
