Adaptec Ultra Wireless USB Adapter User’s Guide

Note: Windows XP users only—Windows XP has a built-in configuration application called Zero Configuration, which automatically takes over as the default utility for your Wireless USB Adapter.

When the Adaptec Wireless Utility installation is complete, a message appears telling you that you must disable Windows Zero Configuration before using the Adaptec Wireless Utility. Adaptec recommends that you use the Adaptec Wireless Utility instead of the Windows application. For more information, see Disabling Zero Configuration (Windows XP only) on page 21.

The software installation is complete. The Adaptec Wireless Utility icon appears on your Windows taskbar, as shown below. (Your system may automatically restart first.)

See Installing Network Protocols on page 23 to continue.

Note: If you are using Windows XP and you choose to keep Zero Configuration as the default utility for your Wireless USB Adapter, you are finished the Installation Task List (page 3). Refer to your Windows XP documentation to continue the installation and set-up.
