What to do if ...

Remedying Faults

In the event of a fault, try to solve the problem yourself with the aid of
the information provided here. If you call Customer Service to deal
with one of the faults listed here or to remedy an operating fault, the
customer service technician's visit will not be free of charge, even dur-
ing the warranty period.
It the fault code C1 or C2 appears in the
multi display, you may be able to remedy
the fault yourself (see the fault table below).
When you have remedied the fault, press the
START/PAUSE (START/PAUZE, MARCHE/PAUSE) button.
With all other displayed faults (C plus number or letter): switch ap-
pliance off and on again. Reset the wash programme and press the
START/PAUSE button.
If the fault code is displayed again, please contact the Customer Service
department quoting the fault code.
Problem Possible cause Remedy
Washing machine does
not function.
Electric plug not inserted. Insert electric plug.
Fuse of the mains installation
is not correct. Replace fuse.
Door is not properly closed. Close door; Lock must en-
gage audibly .
Button: START/PAUSE
(START/PAUZE, MARCHE /
PAUSE) has not been pressed
long enough.
Press START/PAUSE (START/
PAUZE, MARCHE /PAUSE)
button until the programme
starts.
Door cannot be closed. Child safety feature is
switched On.
Cancel child safety feature
(see section „Childsafety
feature“).
