ADJUSTING THE SPEAKER DISTANCE
Adjusts the speaker distance so that sounds from each speaker can reach the listening position at the same time.
1Press SHIFT+SP SETUP.
2Press ior kto select “SP DIST”.
With each press:

4Press ior kto select the speaker for setting.
With each press:
FRONT

5Press l.
6Press i or k to adjust the distance from each
speaker to the listening position.

The adjusted level is set and back to step 4.

ADJUSTING THE LEVEL BALANCE OF THE FRONT SPEAKERS
1Press SHIFT+SP SETUP.
2Press ior kto select “BALANCE”.
With each press:

TEST TONE
3Press l.
4Press ior kto adjust the level balnce.
Default:
L0dB (Left front) R 0dB (Right front)
Press lto switch the display between “L” and “R”.
5Press SHIFT+SP SETUP.

ADJUSTING THE SPEAKER CHANNEL LEVEL
Using a test signal, the sound level of all available channels should be adjusted so that the volume level from each speaker sounds equal.
1Press SHIFT+SP SETUP.
2Press ior kto select “TEST TONE”.
With each press:
SP SIZE
SP DIST
BALANCE
TEST TONE
3Press l.
The test signal automatically cycles through the channels in the following order:
L 
C 
R 
RS 
LS
(L: Left front, C: Center , R: Right front, RS: Right Surround,
LS: Left Surround)
4While the desired channel is displayed, press i
or kto adjust the channel level.

•When the volume level is set to 80, any one of speaker channel level cannot be set to more than +1 dB.
•When the surround mode is set to the STEREO mode (page 24), the speaker channel level cannot be adjusted.
