The selected channel is received.

2 Touch [] of the selected Category or Channel name.

The channel in the selected category is tuned.

When the channel number is selected, the channel is displayed in order of channel number. When the channel name is selected, the channel is displayed in alphabetical order.

Selecting the Channel directly

You can directly select the channel number on the display of the numeric keypad.

1 Touch [PAGE1/3] twice in the XM or SIRIUS mode.

The function guide appears.

2 Touch [10KEY].

The numeric keypad input screen is displayed.

3 Touch to input the channel number.

4 Touch [ENT].

The selected channel is received.

Receiving Weather or Traffic information from SAT Radio

1 Touch [PAGE1/3] twice in the XM or SIRIUS mode. The function guide appears.

2 Touch and hold [BAND] for at least 2 seconds.

The received weather or traffic channel is stored.

3 Press and hold BAND/SAT for at least 2 seconds on the unit.

The stored Weather or Traffic channel is recalled.

4 Press and hold BAND/SAT for at least 2 seconds on the unit.

Returns to the normal mode.

Stored channels can also be recalled by pressing and holding BAND/ SAT for at least 2 seconds on the unit, even in modes other than XM or SIRIUS mode.

Channels other than Weather or Traffic information can also be stored and recalled.

An iPod® can be connected to the IVA-D100 by using the proprietary ALPINE FULL SPEEDTM connection cable (KCE-422i). When the IVA-D100 is connected by using the cable, the controls on the iPod are not functional.

About iPods usable with this unit

The unit can be used with generation three and above iPod, iPod photo, iPod minis or iPod nanos only. However, future generation iPod compatibility cannot be guranteed.

Touch wheel or scroll wheel type iPods without the dock connector cannot be connected to the unit.

The unit can be used with the following iPod versions. Correct function of earlier versions cannot be guranteed.

Third generation iPod: Ver. 2.3

Fourth generation iPod: Ver 3.0.2

iPod photo: Ver.1.1

iPod mini: Ver. 1.3

iPod nano: Ver. 1.0

The unit cannot be used with the software versions earlier than “2005-02-22.” For details about “iPod Software Update,” refer to the iPod Instruction Manual.

Playback

1 Press SOURCE/POWER.

The source selection screen is displayed.

2 Touch [] of iPod.

The display shows the iPod mode screen.

3 Touch [] or [] to select the desired song.

Return to the beginning of the current song:

Touch [].

Fast reverse:

Touch and hold [].

Advance to the beginning of the next song:

Touch [].

Fast forward:

Touch and hold [].

4 To pause playback, touch [/ ].

Touching [/ ] again will resume playback.

If a song is playing on the iPod when it is connected to the IVA-D100, it will continue playing after the connection.

If the artist, album or song name, created in iTunes, has too many characters, songs may not be played back when connected to the IVA-D100. Therefore, a maximum of 250 characters is recommended. The maximum number of characters for the head unit is 128 (128 byte).

Some characters may not be correctly displayed.

“NO SUPPORT” is displayed when text information is not compatible with the IVA-D100.
