System Security - User Level
Select the User Level tab of the Security Page to access the User Security Details page (FIG.25). The
options on this page allow authorized users to add/delete User accounts and configure User’s Access
rights.
Adding a New User
1. Select the User Level tab (in the Security section) to open the User Security Details page.
2. Click the Add New User button (see FIG.25) to access the Add/Modify User page (FIG. 26).
3. In the User Name field, enter a unique name for the new group.
The name must be a unique alpha-numeric character string (4 - 20 characters), and is case
sensitive.
The words "administrator" and "NetLinx" cannot be used since they already exist by default.
4. In the Group drop-down list, choose from a list of pre-configured Groups and associate these rights
to the new user.
5. Enter a user password in both the Password and Password Confirm fields.

Click to add a new User
A User represents a single client of the Master, while a Group represents a collection of Users.
Any properties possessed by a Group are inherited by all of the Users in the group.
