Operation Mode Attributes
The following table lists the options for setting a port’s operation mode:
Attribute | Action |

Exclusive | The first user to occupy the port has exclusive control over it. No |
| other user can view or access it. |

Occupy | The first user to occupy the port has control over it. A second user |
| can view its video output, however. The Occupy Timeout function, |
| discussed above, applies to ports that have this setting. |

Share | Allows all users connected to the |
| simultaneously share keyboard and mouse control over a |
| port. User input is placed in a queue and executed sequentially. |

Restoring KVM Port Defaults
Clicking the Restore Defaults button at the bottom of the Port Select Webpage restores KVM port defaults. When restoring KVM port defaults, port access rights are revoked for users and groups, port notes and personal view shortcuts are removed, and the Port Operating System and Port Language settings are restored to the original factory default settings (Factory Default Settings, page 130).
In cascaded installations, you can restore KVM port defaults for up to 2 levels of KVM switches at a time. If you want to restore KVM port defaults for more than two levels of KVM switches, repeat this procedure for each
To restore KVM port defaults:
1.If you are not logged in to the KM0832 Administrator Utility, open the KM0832 Login page and log in. The KM0832 Administrator Utility Main Screen will appear.
2.In the tree view, click on the station for which you want to restore KVM port defaults to select it.
3.From the Administration menu, choose Port Management. The Port Select Webpage for that station appears.
4.Click Restore Defaults. The KVM port defaults are restored for the selected station (and one additional level of cascaded KVM switches, if applicable).
