View your PC’sdisplay on a television!

Yournew RADEON™ graphics card has Video Out (also knownas TV Out)
capability.Just attach your new card to a television, a monitor, or both. Youcan
evenattach your graphics card to your VCR and record your computer’s display.
Televisiondisplay is ideal for playing games, giving presentations, watching
movies,and browsing the Internet. The following tips will help you get the most
outo fy our VideoOut feature.

Connecting your PC to a television or a VCR

Toconnect your computer to a television or a VCR, attach a connector cable from
thetelevision (or VCR) to your card. Most televisions and VCRs have a
Compositevideo input, also referred to as a phono jack or RCA input. A growing
numberof televisions and VCRs have another type of video input called S-Video
orS-VHS. An S-Video connection produces a higher quality display than
Composite video. If your televisionhas cable input only, which is the case on
olderunits, you can connect your graphicscard to your televisionusing your
VCRor an RF modulator (availablein most electronics stores).
IMPORTANTINFORMATION
for European Customers
Some PC monitors in Europe cannot be used simultaneously
withtelevision display. When you enable television display in
Europe,the refresh rate for the monitor and televisionis set to
50Hz.Some monitors may not support this refresh rate and could
bedamaged.
Please checkthe documentations upplied with your monitor to
see if yourmonitor supports a refresh rate of 50Hz. If your
monitor does not support 50 Hz (or youare not sure), then
turnoff your monitor before turning on your computer when
usingyour television as a display.

Some televisionsin Europe may use a SCART connection. If you
useSCART, read Using SCART Connectors for European
Televisionson page 5 before attempting to connect your PC to
your television.
