4.2Troubleshooting

WARNING

Turn off all power to the unit before conducting any troubleshooting procedures, unless the procedure specifically requires the system to operate. Keep hands, clothing and tools clear of the electrical terminals and rotating components. Ensure that your footing is stable at all times.

SYMPTOMPROBABLE CAUSERECOMMENDATION

 

 

 

Unit Fails to Start

a. Incorrect phasing or voltage.

Correct phase or voltage input.

 

b. Power failure.

Check power source, power inlet and

 

 

fuses. Check control cables and

 

 

connections.

 

c. Overload protection tripped.

Check for cause of overload and re-set

 

 

circuit breaker(s) or motor starter(s).

 

 

 

Suction Pressure Too Low

a. Loss of refrigerant (bubbles in
