Installation of Integral Modules
To install an integral module in a IP Office system, follow the pictorial instructions given below:

Trunk Interface Modules (BRI/PRI/ANALOG4)

For IP403 see page 16, for IP406 see page 20 and for IP412 see page 24.
Procedure
1. Remove the three fixing screws on the rear of cover.
2. Turn the unit over and remove the four fixing screws from the base.
3. Slide the cover from the unit.
4. Remove the two blanking plate securing screws and remove blanking plate.
5. Insert the trunk module and secure with the two screws.
6. Mount the trunk module in position as shown below and secure with the two snap-in spacers
(except for PRI E1/R2).
7. For CALA only, on the PRI E1/R2 coax. module, use the shorting blocks to connect Rx1 GND to
Tx1 GND and or Rx2 GND to Tx2 GND as required.
8. Where required, fit the functional ground (see page 37).
9. Replace cover and secure with the seven fixing screws.
Caution: While installing, ensure that you wear a ground wrist strap that is connected
to a suitable grounding point.
