Power up the server

Plug the power cords into the server and RSA. Press the

 

 

 

power-control button on the front of the server.

 

 

 

Note: Wait at least 3 minutes for the server to complete

 

 

 

its power up. Watch the power-on LED on the server

 

 

 

(the green LED is on steady).

Reconnect attached

Reconnect all attached devices, including the laptop and

 

 

devices

This procedure consists of the following steps:

1.Removing the cover of the x305 IBM server

2.Removing the hard drive from the x305 IBM server

3.Installing the new hard drive in the x305 IBM server

4.Replacing the cover of the x305 IBM server

1.With the server extended on the slide rails, loosen the 2 captive screws on the back of the server that hold the top in place. See Figure 1.
