Installing the SIM Card and		Battery	Slide Battery

Turn the Personal Communicator off
			to Open
before inserting or removing the SIM

card.		Slide to
1.	Remove the battery cover.	Remove
2.	With the gold contacts on the SIM	Battery			Started

	card facing down, slide the card

	into the SIM card recess so the	Notched Corner		Battery

	up with the notch in the card

	recess area (see illustration).

3. Insert the battery, printed arrows first, into the battery compartment. Align the
	contacts on the battery with the contacts in the battery compartment and press
	downward toward the contacts until the battery clicks into place.

4. Replace the battery cover.

If you insert the SIM card incorrectly, Check Card is displayed. Remove the SIM card and re-insert it. If the card does not work, contact your service provider.
