The Personal Communicator operates at a frequency 900, 1800, or 1900 MHz and employs digital modulation techniques.

When you communicate with your Personal Communicator, the system handling your call controls the power level at which your Personal Communicator transmits. The output power level may vary over a range from 1.0 to 2.0 watts.
