Name

Use the right-hand knob to select the desired name. Selecting “Unused” will disable that input and remove it from the list of available source components when in the normal operating mode.

A custom name (up to 8 characters) may also be created as follows:

1)Use the right-hand knob to scroll to the selection “Custom x”, where “x” represents the selected input number.

2)Press the right-hand button to enter the next menu level. The current name will be displayed, with the first character highlighted with a cursor (black characters on a blue background). The left hand knob selects the cursor position.

3)Use the right-hand knob to select the desired character. The character set includes A - Z, a - z, 0 - 9, a hyphen, a decimal point, and a blank. There are three locations for the blank character, one between each group of characters. These additional blanks divide the groups of characters and make it easier to locate a blank character when desired.

4)After creating the desired custom name, press the left-hand button to back up to the previous level in the setup menu.

Offset

Source components may have varying output levels. In order to maintain a constant volume level when changing sources, the Ayre KX-R allows a gain offset to be applied to each input.

The gain offset offers an adjustment from +0 dB to +6 dB in 1 dB increments. Therefore the source components with lower output levels may be boosted to match the source components with higher output levels.

TK-8150, TK-7150 specifications

Ayre Acoustics has long been synonymous with precision audio engineering and exceptional sound quality. Among their notable releases, the TK-8150 and TK-7150 integrated amplifiers stand out as epitomes of modern audio technology, offering audiophiles a delightful blend of performance and versatility.

The Ayre TK-8150 is a powerful 150-watt-per-channel integrated amplifier that boasts a wide range of features designed to elevate your listening experience. One of its key technologies is the unique "Ayre Class A" amplification, which ensures that the audio signals remain authentic and uncolored, preserving the integrity of the original recording. This technology minimizes distortion and maximizes dynamic range, whether you’re playing soft classical pieces or more robust rock tracks.

In contrast, the TK-7150 provides 75 watts per channel, making it a perfect option for those seeking a compact yet potent audio solution. Despite its smaller size, the TK-7150 does not compromise on sound quality, integrating the same advanced Class A technology that Ayre is renowned for. Both models come with a high-quality DAC, allowing for seamless digital decoding of high-resolution audio files.

Each amplifier features an extensive array of inputs, accommodating various sources including analog, USB, Coaxial, and Optical connections, ensuring compatibility with modern digital devices while maintaining the warmth and richness of analog sound. The front panel of both units is elegantly designed, featuring easy-to-navigate controls and clear indicators, making them user-friendly while providing a touch of sophistication to any audio setup.

In addition to superb audio performance, both the TK-8150 and TK-7150 are built with superior craftsmanship, employing high-grade components that contribute to their durability and reliability. Ayre Acoustics is committed to a sustainable design philosophy, and both amplifiers reflect this with their low power consumption and reduced environmental impact.

Overall, the Ayre Acoustics TK-8150 and TK-7150 integrated amplifiers cater to both audiophiles and casual listeners alike, combining advanced technology and design to redefine modern audio playback. With their exceptional sound quality, versatile connectivity, and elegant aesthetics, these amplifiers are a worthy investment for anyone serious about high-fidelity audio.
