Appendix D: TROUBLESHOOTING WITH COMTest

Included on the PCI/USB COM Port Utility Disk is a test program called COMTest. It can be installed on your “Programs” menu for use by inserting the disk and running Setup.

COMTest is a simple 32-bit Windows (Windows 95, 98, 2000 or NT) COM port Test program. It is a simple tool that can be used to troubleshoot RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 serial communications. It allows multiple ports, at any address and IRQ, to be opened at any given time. COMTest can also be found on the Internet at the B&B Electronics Mfg. Co.
