1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1.1 General instructions

Scope

Thisdocument includes safety considerations of the Solaris LC40. Throughoutthis manual, the term SERVICE PERSONNEL refers
topersons having appropriate technical training and experience necessary to be knowledgeable of potential hazards to which they
are exposed (including, but not limited to HIGH VOLTAGEELECTRIC and ELECTRONIC CIRCUITRY and HIGH BRIGHTNESS
PROJECTORS) in performing a task, and of measures to minimize the potential risk to themselves or other persons. The term
USER and OPERATOR refers to any person other than SERVICE PERSONNEL, AUTHORIZED to operate the installed digital
video distribution system.

General safety instructions

Beforeoperating your Solaris LC 40, please read this manual thoroughly,and retain it for future use.
Installationand preliminary adjustments should be performed by qualified service personnelor authorized service dealers.
Allwarnings on the system part s and inthe docu mentation manual should be adhered to.
Allinstructions for operating and use o fthis equipment must b e followed precisely.
All local installationcodes should be adhe red to.

parts inside this product are risk of electrical shock to persons.
The exclamation point within a triangle is intended to tell the user that important
operating and/or servicing instructions are included in the technical documentation f

1.2 Electrical Safety

Ratings & Grounding

These products should be operated from an AC power source. Check if the mains voltage and the load matches the product
electrical ratings.
A grounded three-core power cable has to be used. Connect the power cord by inserting it in a grounded electrical outlet,
making suret hatthe co rdis properly grounde d.
Ifyou are unable to install the AC Requirements, contact your electrician. Do notdefeat the purpose of the grounding.
Alwaysconnect this appliance to an electrically grounde d outlet. Never use a ground bypass (cheater) adapter.
