• An active ADSL service with a telephone wall jack for connec ting the Router
• At least one computer with a Network Inter face Card (NIC)
and Internet browser in stalled and corre ctly configured
• TCP/IP networking protocol installed on each comp uter connected to the Ro uter
• No other DHCP server on your local netwo rk assigning
IP addresses to compute rs and devices

Internet Connection Settings
The Setup Assistant contains a database of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in
each country to help you set up your Router quickly. If your ISP is not on the
list, please collect the following information from your ISP before setting up the
Router:
• Internet connection protocol: (PPPoE, PPPoA , Dynamic IP, Static IP)
• Multiplexing method or Encapsulation: ( LLC or VC MUX)
• Virtual circuit: VPI (Virtual Path Identifier) __ ____ _____ ____ _____ ____ _____ _
