Connection Type
From the “Connection Type” pa ge, you can selec t one of these five
connection types ba sed on the instru ction provided by your ISP:
• PPPoE
• PPPoA
• Dynamic/FixedIP(1483Bridg ed)
• StaticIP(IPoA)
• ModemOnly(DisableI nternetSharing)
Select the type of co nnection you use by clicking the ra dio button (1)
next to your connection type and then c licking “Next”�

The “Internet/WAN” t ab is where you wi ll set up your Route r to connect
to your Internet Servi ce Provider (ISP)� T he Router is capa ble of
connecting to virtual ly any ISP’s system pr ovided you have corr ectly
configured the Router’s se ttings for your IS P’s connection typ e� Your ISP
connection settings are provided to you by your ISP� To configure the
Router with the setting s that your ISP gave you, click “Connec tion Type”
(a) on the left side of the screen� Select the connection t ype you use� If
your ISP gave you DNS set tings, clicking “D NS” (b) allows you to en ter
DNS address entries f or ISPs that requi re specific set tings� Clicking
“MAC Address” (C) will let yo u clone your comp uter’s MAC address or
type in a specific WAN MAC address, if r equired by your ISP� When you
have finished making se ttings, the “Inter net Status” indic ator will read
“connected” if your Route r is set up prop erly�
