If your organization has a distributed BlackBerry® Enterprise Server environment, you can move to new hardware for the BlackBerry Enterprise Server instances during the upgrade process.
You can consider this upgrade option if one or more of the following conditions applies to your organization's environment:
•You want to upgrade the existing BlackBerry Configuration Database.
•You want to move the BlackBerry Enterprise Server instances to new hardware.
•You are not a database administrator and you do not have permissions to upgrade the BlackBerry Configuration Database using the BlackBerry Enterprise Server setup application.
