Use grilling utensils with long, heat-resistant handles.

If you want to smother the charcoal, replace the lid and then close all the vents. Never extinguish the charcoal with water as this can damage the enamel.

Extinguish burning fat by putting the cover back on the barbecue grill. Never use water!

Please be careful with hot electric lighters and keep them in a safe place.

Please keep electric cables away from hot surfaces.

Attention

Do not line your grill pan with aluminium foil as this can hinder the flow of air. Instead, collect the fat and juices in a drip catcher if you are grilling according to the indirect grill method.

Never use sharp objects or scouring creams when cleaning the wire rack and barbecue grill as these can damage the surface.

Useful tips

Once you have lit the charcoal, wait 25 to 30 minutes or until the char- coal is covered with a thin grey coating before you start barbecuing.

The upper lid opening must remain open while you grill. Make sure you wear barbecue gloves when you change any settings.

Only use good-quality charcoal briquettes and store them in a dry place as they easily absorb fluid and burn badly in this state. If you want to store briquettes outside, we recommend using a weather-proof container with an air-tight lid.

If you use ignition fluid, please allow it to soak into the charcoal for a few minutes before lighting it. Please ensure that no fluid collects in the bottom of the pan.

Always remove the lid to the side when grilling – never upwards – as this can otherwise result in suction which causes the ashes to rise and fall onto what is being grilled.
