Panel Descriptions

Display

This shows various types of information depending on the
settings you’re making, such as volume levels, menu
screens, and parameter editing screens.
If you find the display screen difficult to read, refer to
“Adjusting the Display Contrast” (p. 130).

Song

This shows the song name.

Time

This shows the current time location in the song in
terms of “** hours (h) ** minutes (m) ** seconds (s).”

Frame

This shows the frame number of the current position in
the song.
The BR-800 is set to use a frame rate of 30 frames per
second (non-drop). This protocol setting is defined as
part of the MTC (MIDI Time Code) specifications. To
synchronize the performance of this device with
another device, using MIDI, you will need to set the
other device so it operates at 30 frames per second
(non-drop).

Measure

This shows the current location in the song.
From the left, the values indicate the “measure
number” – “beat number.”

Power

This indicates the power supply status.

Tempo

This indicates the tempo of the rhythm.

Level meter

This indicates the volume.
On the BR-800, the main screen that appears (for example)
immediately after the power is turned on (see below) is
called the “Play screen.”

Indication Explanation

Power is being supplied from the AC
adaptor.
Power is being supplied from the com-
puter.
The batteries are in good condition.
The batteries are running low.
The batteries are almost empty. Install
fresh batteries as soon as possible.
The batteries are empty. Install fresh
batteries.

Item Explanation

INPUT This indicates the volume of the input.
TRACK This indicates the volume of the output
from each track.
RHY This indicates the volume of the output
from the rhythm.
L R This indicates the volume of the output
following the [MASTER] fader.

you actually see in the display may not always
