Storing numbers for easy dialing

You can set up your MFC to do thr ee types of easy dialing:
One-Touch, Speed-Dial a nd Groups for Broadcasting faxes.

Storing One-Touch D ial numbers

Your MFC has 16 One-Touch keys wher e
you can store 32 fax or phone numbers for
automatic dialing. To access numbers 17
to 32, hold down Shift as you press the
One-Touch key. When you press a
One-Touch key the LCD sho ws the name,
if you stored it, or the numbe r. (See
One-Touch dialing on page 6-2.)
One-Touch keys are the 16 keys (numbers 01–32) located on the left
side of the control panel.

Press Menu, 2, 3, 1.

Press the One-Touch key where you
want to store a numbe r.
If you have not installe d the optional LAN boar d (NC-9100h), go
to Step 4.
—OR—
If you have installed the opti onal LAN board (NC-9100h), the
MFC will ask you if the One-Touch key is for a fax/telephone
number or an E-mail address. Go to Step 3.
Auto Dial numbers and dialing options
If you lose electrical po wer, the auto dial number s that are in the
memory will not be lost.
(USA only) The Brother fax back system number has been
preprogrammed on One-Touch key 1.
