Setting the F/T Ring Time (Fax/Tel mode only)If you set the Receive Mode to Fax/Tel, you will need to decide how
long the MFC will signal you with its special pseudo/double-ring
when you have a voice call. (If it’s a fax call, the MFC prints the fax.)
This pseudo/double-ri ng happens after the in itial ringing from th e
phone company. Only the MFC rings and no other phones on the
same line will ring with the s pecial pseudo/double -ring. However, you
can still answer the ca ll on any extension phone on the same line as
the MFC. (See Operation from extension telephones on page 5-7.)

If it is not illuminated in green, press (Fax).

Press Menu, 2, 1, 2.

Press or to select how
long the MFC will ring to alert you
that you have a voice call (for 20, 30, 40 or 70 seconds).
Press Set.

Press Stop/Exit.
Even if the caller hangs up dur ing the pseudo/double-ringin g,
the MFC will continue to ring for the set time.
