To load paper or other media in the manual feed tray 1
Open the manual feed tray. Sl ide the paper guides to fit the
paper size.

Using both hands put paper in t he manual feed tray until the
front edge of the paper touches the pape r feed roller. Hold th e
paper in this position un til the MFC automatically feed s the
paper in for a short distance, and then let go off the paper.
When printing envelopes an d labels you should only use the
manual feed tray.
When you put paper in the m anual feed tray, please reme mber
the following:
■The side to be printed on mus t be face up.
■Put the leading edge (top of th e paper) in first and push it
gently into the tray.
■Make sure that the paper is s traight and in the proper
position on the manual feed tray. If it is not, the paper may
not be fed properly, r esulting in a skewed p rintout or a paper
jam.
■Do not put more than one s heet of paper or envelope i n the
manual feed tray at any one tim e, or it may cause a jam.
