4 Remove the print cartridge and turn the spool to tighten the ribbon. 5 Install the cartridge. (See Replacing the Print Cartridge, page 12-8) 6 Close the top cover.

7 Load the paper.

A poor quality phone line resulted in a

communications error. Try the call again.

You have requested a polling call from another

party, but the other fax machine is not in Poll

DISCONNECTED

DOCUMENT JAM

The other party has disconnected during a fax. Try calling the other party.

The documents were not inserted or fed properly, or were too long or too short.

Remove any paper that is not jammed from the ADF.

Open the top cover.

Pull the document toward the front of the machine.

Close the cover and press Stop.
