Print Quality
Select the Quality, Color Mode, Improve Gray Color an d Enhance Black Printing.
■Quality
You can select the following print qualit y s et t ing s.
Normal 600 dpi class. Recommended for ordinary pr inting. Good print quality wit h reasonable
print speeds.
Fine 600 x 600 dpi. Prin t quality is higher. As a result, there will be mo re print data than
when printing in Norm al m ode. T his al so c aus es lo ng er pr i nt pro ces s ing, da ta tr ans fe r
and printing times.
with CAPT* Choosing CAPT in the printer driver prod uces clearer colors and improves the
appearance of print jobs containing photographic images.
*CAPT (Color Advanced Photoscale Technology)
It uses the color information contained in the image data to control the printed image color level. This
results in a more accurate reproduct ion of the image. With CAPT On, the output res o lution will be
2400 dpi class. This mode is rec ommended to print images and graphics.

You can improve the image quality of s ha ded areas by ticking the Improve Gray C olo r check box.
■Enhance Black Printing
If the black graphic cannot be printed correctly, make the setting here.
Duplex
To use automatic duplex printing, y ou will need to install the optional du plex unit onto your printer. If you
select the Duplex button, the dialog box for making duplex se t tin gs w ill a ppear. Six types of duplex
binding directions are available for eac h orientation.
Watermark
You can place a watermarked logo or t ex t in y ou r documents.
When you use a bitmap file as a waterma rk, you can change the size of the waterm ar k and place it
anywhere you like on the page.
When you use text as a watermark, yo u c an change the font, darkness and angle set tin gs.
Page Setting
Change the print image scaling, and then select Mirror / Reverse print options .
Print quality and print speeds are corre lated. Higher print quality takes longe r t o pri nt, while lower
print quality takes less time to print.
