Remote Codes might not work with some telephone systems. The preset Activation Code is 
5 1 ( 
9 1 for New Zealand). The preset Deactivation Code is # 5 1 (# 9 1 for New Zealand).
If you are always disconnected when accessing your external TAD remotely, try changing the Activation Code from 
5 1 ( 
9 1 for New Zealand) to # # # and the Deactivation Code from # 5 1 (# 9 1 for New Zealand) to 1 1 1. You cannot use the same number for the Activation Code, the Deactivation Code and the Remote Access Code.
To switch Remote Activation ON and change Remote Codes
1 Press Menu/Set, 2, 1, 4.
2 Press

to select ON (or OFF), and press Menu/Set when the screen displays the setting you want.
3 If you want to, enter a new Remote Activation Code, then press Menu/Set.
4 If you want to, enter a new Remote Deactivation Code, then press Menu/Set. 5 Press Stop/Exit.
