Nonostante abbiamo preso molta cura nell’includere nelle nostre tabelle il maggior numero di marche e di calibri, nuovi carichi sono continuamente creati. Inoltre, alcuni tiratori caricano le munizioni con caratteristiche balistiche esclusive. Se non trovate il vostro carico nelle nostre tabelle balistiche, potete usare la funzione di abbassamento del proiettile del telemetro laser. Come nell’esempio di cui sopra, mirate il vostro fucile a 100 yarde. Sparate quindi a 300 yard, senza regolare il cannocchiale da puntamento. Misurate l’abbassamento del proiettile dal punto di mira. Usando questa misura, selezionate il gruppo balistico dalla tabella sotto indicata. Se sparate ad una distanza più lunga, controllate l’abbassamento del proiettile a 500 yarde. Poiché grande è la variazione nelle canne dei fucili, nelle camere e nei carichi manuali, prima di sparare realmente durante la caccia, provate a fondo l’impostazione balistica. A seconda delle prove da voi fatte, può darsi che dobbiate spostarvi di un gruppo balistico in su o in giù.
