The Network Tools functions are performed using a series of commands. Entering commands in Network Tools involves typing the command at the Network Tools prompt, adding any required parameters, and pressing ENTER to execute the command.

There are two categories of commands in the command set:

Built-in Commands – Allow the user to access and manage network devices. The commands for the HSIM-W85 are imux, ds1alarm, wanpq, dsx1, and ds1ext. The other commands listed in Figure 4-2are described in the host platform manual.

Special Commands – Allow the user to exit from Network Tools. The commands are done, exit, and quit. All three commands perform the same function.
