To turn off each sound, such as the start-up sound, shutter sound, operation sound and selftimer sound, [Mute] must first be set to [On] in the (Set up) menu. When [Mute] is set to [On], each sound option will not sound even if they are set individually to [On]. The warning sound, however, will emit even when [Mute] is set to [On].
