Using the GPS Function

Turning the GPS Function OnDisplay the [GPS Settings] screen.

zPress the nbutton to choose [GPS Settings] in the 3tab, then press the m button.

Choose a setting.

zPress the opbuttons or turn the Âdial to choose [GPS], then press the qr buttons to choose [On].

zWhen you press the nbutton, a message about the GPS function will

appear on the screen. After checking the message, press the m button.

zress the nbutton to return to Shooting mode.

Check the reception status.

zPress the l button to enable information display (p. 44).

zYou can check the GPS reception status displayed on the screen.

GPS satellite signal received. The camera’s positioning data or the

 

shooting date can be recorded.

(Flashing)

Searching for GPS satellite.

(Displayed)

Cannot receive GPS satellite signal.

What if appears on the screen and you cannot receive a GPS satellite signal?

GPS Signal Receiver

It is easier to receive a GPS satellite signal if you

use the camera outside, where the sky is clearly

 

visible. Make sure your fingers or other items are

 

not blocking the GPS signal receiver and point it

 

toward the sky and signal reception may

 

improve.
