Before You Start

Checking Your Network Environment

Refer to the following diagram examples to conﬁrm the network environment that is connected to your machine. Then, perform the necessary operations to set up that environment.

Sample Windows Network

Using a NetWare Server

In a network environment like the one below, a NetWare, TCP/IP, or NetBIOS (NetBIOS over TCP/IP) protocol can be used for printing. Multiple protocols can also be used at the same time.

NOTE

NetBIOS is available only for Windows 95/98/Me.
