Switching Between Light Metering Modes

You can switch between metering modes to shoot.

 

 

Appropriate for standard shooting

 

 

conditions, including backlit scenes. The

 

 

camera divides images into several zones

 

Evaluative

for light metering. The camera evaluates

 

the complex lighting conditions, such as

Meters the area within the spot AE point

Spot AE Point

Use this setting when you want to set the

 

 

exposure on the subject in the center of

 

 

the monitor.

1 In the [Rec.] Menu, select

(Light

Metering).

 

¡For information on using the menu, see “Selecting Menus and Settings” (p. 41).

2 Select [Evaluative] or [Spot AE Point].

¡If you have selected [Spot AE Point], the spot AE point frame will appear in the center of the LCD monitor.
