Shooting with the FE Lock

Just as with the AE lock (=70), you can lock the exposure for the flash shots.

1Set the flash to [h] (=80).

2 Lock the flash exposure.

zzAim the camera at the subject to shoot with the exposure locked. With the shutter button pressed halfway, press the <o> button.

XXThe flash fires, and when [(] is displayed, the flash output level is retained.

zzTo unlock FE, release the shutter button and press the <o> button again. In this case, [(] is no longer displayed.

3Compose the shot and shoot.

Changing the Compression Ratio (Image Quality)

Choose from two compression ratios, as follows: (Super Fine), (Fine). For guidelines on how many shots at each compression ratio can fit on a memory card, see “Number of 4:3 Shots per Memory Card” (=172).

Configure the setting.

zzPress the <m> button, choose [] in the menu, and choose the desired option (=28).
