•When set to [ VARIABLE] the zoom speed depends on how you operate the zoom lever: Press lightly for a slow zoom; press harder for faster zooms.
•The fastest zoom speed can be
achieved with [ VARIABLE]. Among the fixed zoom speeds,
[ SPEED 3] is the fastest and
[ SPEED 1] the slowest.
AF MODE
[ INSTANT AF], [ NORMAL AF] Select how fast the autofocus will operate.•With [ INSTANT AF] the autofocus adjusts quickly to a new subject. This is convenient for example when changing the focus from a near subject to a far subject in the background, or when recording fast- moving subjects.

You can use the focus assist function to make sure you focus correctly.
•The focus assist function magnifies the image that appears at the center of the screen in order to help you when you are using the manual focus.
•Using the focus assist function will not affect the recordings. The focus assist function will be cancelled when you start recording.
