Using the Mode Dial

zThe shutter speed and aperture value will show on the LCD monitor. The correct exposure has been set if the shutter speed and aperture value show in white on the LCD monitor when the shutter button is pressed halfway.

zThe shutter speed, aperture value and the difference between the standard exposure will show in red on the LCD monitor when the correct exposure cannot be obtained.

zWhen the flash fires, the shutter speed and aperture value will show in white.

zIn , or , the combinations of shutter speeds and aperture values can be changed within the same exposure setting (Program Shift p. 66).

‹ For information on the relation between the aperture value and shutter speed, see (p. 50, 51, 52).

‹Please note that camera shake becomes a factor at low shutter

speeds and with larger aperture values. If (camera shake warning, blinking red) appears in the LCD monitor, try the following steps to resolve the problem.
