Using the Auto Focus Assist Light (AF Assist Light)

causes the front lamp to light, which provides illumination for |

focusing in areas where lighting is dim. Leaving this function |

turned off is recommended when shooting portraits from short |

distances, etc. |

• Never look directly into the front lamp while it is lit.
Turning Digital Zoom On or Off (Digital Zoom)

You can use this setting to turn digital zoom on or off. When digital zoom is turned off, operating the zoom controller zooms the image with optical zoom only.
