Shooting with Manual Exposure Settings (M mode)

The following shows the ranges for the shutter speed and aperture settings you can configure in the M mode.

1.Set the mode dial to “M”.

2.Press [SET] as many times as required to select the shutter

speed setting and then use [W] and [X] to set the speed you want.

*The camera has a built-in ND filter to limit exposure. F9.2 is the aperture when the ND filter is being used.

NOTE

Sensitivity is fixed at “ISO 50” when shooting with manual exposure (M mode) while “Auto” is selected for the “ISO” setting (page 141). For other “ISO” settings, the allowable shutter speed range changes in accordance with the sensitivity setting.

3.Press [SET] as many times as required to select the aperture setting and then use [W] and [X] to set the aperture value you want.

When using manual focus, you can also use [SET] to select “FOCUS” and then use [W] and [X] to focus manually.
